We were gobsmacked when we found this spectacular extending oak dining table. It has a Joseph Fitter worm gear and crank handle mechanism which bears the Fitter metallic trade plate. Four separate leaves can be added to the centre to extend it to whatever size you require, from just over 5 feet long, all the way up to 11.5 feet.
Perfect for families who love to entertain at home - we can't imagine a more impressive table at which to host your Christmas dinners for decades to come. Because of its versatility, it would also be a great choice for a high-end restaurant or board room table.
We especially like the carved, turned legs, which are on brass castors for ease of movement. The oak surface throughout has developed a beautiful warm patina over years of use.
Love the look? We think this table looks great styled with our set of six Chippendale style dining chairs and one of our 1930s folding cathedral benches as pictured.
Length: 61" extending to 139" maximum
Length of each extending leaf: 19.5"
